The Center for Global Engagement hosted visitors from the Muroran Institute of Technology (MIT) with the hopes of building a future partnership between MIT and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
MIT, located in Knoxville’s sister city of Muroran, Hokkaido, Japan.

During the visit, MIT Professors Dr. Toshifumi Iimori, Division of Sustainable and Environmental Engineering, Department of Sciences and Informatics, and Dr. BAEK Sangyub, Associate Professor in charge of Partnership Agreement Affairs, Center for International Relations, visited with CGE leadership and Dr. Victor Nemykin, Professor and Chemistry Department Head for UT.
